Not at all. :) The pregnancy itself is the only thing that determines whether you will have issues with premature labor or not. I was not a preemie, but both my children were born 4 weeks early.
Some factors that may cause preterm labor are; smoking, placenta problems, weak cervix, history of preterm labor. This is just a few, keep that in mind. With good prenatal health care, your chances of having a normal, full term pregnancy are very good. :)

No no no.
You could have been early for a number of reasons, like being around smoke (not that you were) or may by an illness you had.
However, there could be a gene linked to an illness that could affect your child making it early. I don't know exactly but it may by the gene that you and your parent(s) had that made you have a higher risk of being born, hence making your child having an early birth more higher a percentile.
P.S Anyway, it may not be anything to worry about. technology is brilliant is it not. Just make sure that your child does not receive passive smoking etc

Well, what I've heard and observed is that it tends to follow father's mother. There are some other things that cause premature labor, and while they aren't genetic, they are environmentally taught like poor nutrition, smoking, drug use.
I am not sure about genetic causes in the mother... I would think that in our day and age, that medically you would be covered if you did go into premature labor.

I have read somewhere that it's a maternal thing like if your mom delivers late so will you I don't know if it's true but my mom always did my sister always did I did the first time but now I have to have my babies early because of problems so I'm not really sure you should ask the doctor about that.Because your mom could've just been having a problem with her pregnancy.

you've a preemie infant which desires to be dealt with! no longer the in-regulations!! She's 4 months previous minus 7 weeks she's a newborn! and that i wouldnt haul her over there for visits! probable the living house smells like smoke and so on- So no placed your foot down, it may stris some issues yet you want to do what's best for your infant!! in the journey that they prefer to work out your infant, it truly is large, they could come over for your position to work out her! 2- No smoking allowed at the same time as being with the infant-no smoking breaks-and attempt no longer to have smoke smelling outfits on! before you tried to be fantastic and referred to each human being who smokes. and so on Now i have self belief like you want to inform your MIL that she won't be able to smoke at the same time as she's with the infant or prior to. The scent of smoke bothers your infant-for the reason that her lungs were underdeveloped-and a similar is going for perfumes. perchance it will be more desirable ideal to position off the visits for a at the same time as till she receives somewhat older and her inmune equipment superior... i became also raised in a smoking living house, although I wouldnt enable everybody that smokes round my children!!

I personally don't know the answer to your question, and it doesn't look like anyone before me does either! You should try the March of Dimes web site, they are the group that works to educate and research prematurity
