a man has a good wife, he knows it, but he's selfish enough to entertain conversation elsewhere. Though he hasn't tried to leave his wife, instead she leaves him after finding out about his interest elsewhere. Does the mistress win, or has the wife left the husband hanging?

*sidenote, he has accomplished a lot in life with his wife and she has always been loyal and honest with him. Is it worth it to him to lose her?

Who cares, why would any wife want a husband like this, leave him and get on with your life. And allow the mistress to have him, he will be doing the same thing to her very shortly. Since he is unable to be loyal to one women. She will win the looser and have all of the issues that come along with a dishonest and non-loyal cheating man. Give him to her on a silver platter, wish them the best. He will give her the same treatment only worse, he is not married to her. God bless****

Being that the word LOVE does not appear in your question, I would say, that he is probably looking for it. If you can live with the fact that he has a Mistress then no big deal, keep it together maybe love will find it's way back to you. If his having a Mistress is to much then leave. It's up to you.

No, I don't think the wife should leave because he's having a conversation with some other woman. If a conversations is all they are having that's not enough to leave. Now if he's having a full fledge affair and refuses to stop, now you have a reason. Think before you jump to quickly.

If you leave you just hand him to her.

The world does not fall off just because you two got married. Relationships are going to happen they just need to stay on a platonic level. Sometimes relationships happen where a partner flirts.

You need to trust that your partner can make responsible decisions about his behavior in your relationship.

If this is a sign of underlying problems, address the issues. You're partners, best friends and lovers. Be that.

might be...he is willing to put it all at risk isn't he???? If she leaves, she is the only one who wins.....better she should boot him....she wins because she maintains her self respect and she can start a new life and possibly find someone who will love, respect and be loyal to her.....

If all he had done is entertain conversation, then he is lucky she left him. No one needs a jealous person to poison there life.
