I have been a huge fan of U2 but now I am wondering maybe if Bono is pushing it with all this publicity. I dont know I am confused. Give me your opinion! Thanks in advanced.

Bono just believes in what he does, he's no attention addict. He's trying to change the world in a way which he can...using his star status to get a messgage across. And anyway, U2 rock!!!

I'm a big fan of U2 also. And I agree that there has been too much publicity for their own good. I think they need to lay back for a while, like a few years before doing anything else.

Lets face it... The band U2 is known from the poor to the rich, from the kids to the elders, from the very start untill today. Thats something our grandchildren will know. And theres no press agent or any kind of agent who can do it without their talent.
The song ONE was chosen among millions of others as the best lyrics of the century (May 2006), not to mention Bonos noble prize nomenation.
Now back to your question and regardless my personal opinion, they are good, very good indeed.

U2 are amazing. If the "publicity" is the Green Day stint, that was bad. If you mean publicity as in Bono's AIDS/Africa thing,it has very little to do with the band and I support him completly. No one should live in extreme poverty.

I think he may be overdoing it some though. I understand the need to share what you belive with other and believe there is a responsibility in that to help others. I think there are a lot that do and quite frankly I would rather he promote his issues than some of the other celebrities issues.
