Spiders I can just about put up with, only because my kids think I'm some sort of superhero who isn't afraid of anything. Truth be told they scare the crap out of me!
Snakes are beautifully elegant creatures. There's something about them that I find fascinating.

Neither of them bother me one bit. I have picked up big snakes off the lawn-non poisonous ones of course , so I don;t hit them with the lawn mower and spiders are nothing to me.

Snakes are cool, they are great pets and they will keep your feet warm in the bed in winter, my python always used to curl up near my feet.
Spiders are no good to handle and have small dog syndrome so are more prone to bite.
