Christ was NOT born on Christmas Day. Christmas was a heathen holiday. There are a number of sites that you can visit to find this. NO REAL CHURCH would every mention Christmas and Christ together or the Bible as a reference for Christmas. I also had a problem with it years ago but I think most people have no idea what to do with Christmas. Giving gifts at Christmas has nothing to do with how you feel about that person, it should have to do with your true love of PEOPLE and wanting them to feel good about themselves. The "three wise men" are not even found in the BIBLE. There were wise men that brought three gifts... Get a better feeling for people and begin dtudying the BIBLE with a group of friends. The gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, an John) would be a great place to begin your study. Visit with a non-denominational group of Christians on Sunday mornings and take a BIBLE with you. Have a great holiday with friends and family. Whether they call it CHRISTMAS or xmas is of no consequence to you or CHRIST. Get them to begin to study about HIM!
Thanks,
Eds

Nice one! What is Christmas all about anyway? People seem to forget about that. So when you are opening your prezzies don't forget to remember Jesus and say Happy Birthday. after all he did give us the best gift anyone could ever give!

well you know we don't all believe it's about jesus' birthday. dec 25th was a pagan festival long before jesus was born, it just sort of gotten taken over by christianity. and for some of us it's more about tradition than religion. i have no problem with the word 'christmas' because it's what it has come to be known as but 'xmas' is fine too, as is saturnalia. many of the traditions associated with christmas come from the ancient festivals. do some googling and look it up, whatever you believe it's interesting to see where all these things come from

MAY THE PEACE OF CHRIST BE WITH YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES!
I am repulsed when I see that abbreviation. If I really need to abbreviate I use C'mas.
Why doesn't it seem to matter that there are more people who are offended by this? The ultra liberals will soon be saying or writing Merry Christmas is politically incorrect. No one seems to care if we are offended by trying to censor our speech.
A very Blessed and Merry Christmas to you and all like minded people!

It is not a way to take Christ out of christmas. the X in X mas is representative of the greek letter "chi", the first letter of Christ. Have a Coke and a smile man. Send the presents out to these people. they're not doing anything wrong.

I agree .
I understand about the X in the Greek ...chi...and I think it's OK...if you want to use it .Personally, I feel when I'm speaking and writing English , to keep the Christ in the Christmas....
And yes invite Jesus to his party .:)
