Best economies are in places where people are moving to:

Florida is a great example; 5,000 people move there ever day, many are seniors so the best economic sector there is healthcare. Get into sales selling pharmaceuticals or medical products is the easiest way in then you can branch out into cardiovascular products--stents, pacemakers, etc, the hottest economic sector in America with high pay and high demand. 60% of people are obese and with age their hearts are breaking (literally). You must have a college degree to get a sales job in this area but if you work toward it, the rewards for money and quality of life are unmatched and Florida has no state tax for your income.
