My mom feels the same way. It gets old sometimes, just remember the true meaning of Christmas. The commercialism is getting way too out of hand. Try to think of how it was when you were a kid and how you felt. That helps me. It also helps when you can bring that Christmas cheer to others if you can.

I don't know how old you are but I understand what you're saying. Years ago it was more about family and friends, seeing people you had seen in a long time. Helping others who didn't have much and if you made a gift for someone that was the best gift of all. Now it's about trying to find a parking spot at the mall, looking at things that you're not use if the person wants it or already has, or if you have the money to get it. Christmas isn't what it once was and I don't see it ever going back to that. The store are bring Christmas things out earlier ever year, soon they'll be out in July. It still go back to being want family, a warm fire, toys for the kids and a good meal, and reaching out to people who don't have what you have.

Now that I am an adult, Holidays in general have lost their excitement. When I was a kid, my family got together and had these big gatherings that made the day extra special. We would play all sorts of games and do karaoke... These days it seems impossible to get anyone together.
I spent Thanksgiving at my kids grandmother's house. I was there all of an hour because I got tired of just sitting there watching her change channels on the tv everytime I would get into a show. I am not repeating that for Christmas so it almost seems like I have to buy more to keep my kids happy and entertained for an entire day- Unless someone wants to invite us over for Christmas... I'll bring an almost-from scratch chocolate cake, a pan of dressing, and my best rendition of "I believe I can fly". Any takers?

You might be getting stressed out by the pressure of gift buying that's become associated with Christmas. Just relax and try to remember why we are celebrating Christmas in the first place. Skip the gift exchanging this year or at least cut way back. Enjoy spending time with friends and family.

I know how you feel. I myself usually get excited about the holiday season but this year has been different for me also. The best way I can defeat the holiday blues is to remember the true meaning of christmas and thinking of the blessings I have received this past year and to look forward into the new year.Remember, new year, new possibilities.

Unfortunately, it sounds as though you have allowed the crass commercialism wear you down. Don't. focus on the true meaning of Christmas. Go to church. Go caroling. Help the needy. Merry Christmas and God Bless.

i believe an analogous way! I attempt doing an analogous issues I did as slightly newborn. perhaps you ought to attempt that too! i comprehend you stated it wasn't approximately promises from Santa, and it wasn't approximately that for me the two, yet i think of understanding that Santa does not incredibly exist style of takes away my Christmas spirit. :( yet like I stated perhaps you ought to attempt doing an analogous issues you probably did as a newborn like construction snowmen, adorning the tree, or in simple terms sitting with your loved ones. in any different case, i myself do no longer comprehend what to do appropriate to the lack of ability of Christmas spirit. wish this facilitates! ultimate of luck! :)

You have the Christmas blues. Force yourself to decorate! Its kind of hard to 'not' be in the holiday spirt when you are surrounded by Christmas decorations. You'll feel a lot better.
Merry Christmas!!!

You probably didn't lose it it just died of old age.
They have been advertising for it since Halloween. That's three months.
I'd even be sick of my birthday if it was talked about it every day for three months.
I hope the excitement builds for you as the days get closer and that you and yours have a Merry Christ mass.
Peace.

I agree. All the hype, greed, commercialism. It's disgusting. I hate shopping, but am waiting for the "after" sales....so I can capitalize on manufacturer's scramble to break even.
