1)when a telemarketer calls just say "Hold on please" and set the phone down,this slows the pace down for his/her sales and takes time from him/her getting comissions.When ya hear that beep beep beep...then hang up the phone
2)If junk mail comes with a pre-paid envelope...put your junk mail in it and send it back to them...it cost them nothing if you throw it away...but if you send it back they just paid TWICE for it.
3)All those annoying ads you get with your phone bill...mail them back with your bill
4) when you get the calls by a computer, push the # key on your phone as fast as you can 6 or 7 times,this confuses the computer and it will delete your phone number.
5) send credit card applications back blank in the pre paid envelope along with some junk mail
Let these people throw away thier own junk mail and let them know we dont want it...Join me in my quest!!!

I have not got any calls since I put my name on the NO CALL list. Except from robo calls around election time. I wish I could say the same about junk mail.
I hate junk mail !
"Capital One" the credit card company has been sending me applications FOR YEARS! They just won't take NO for an answer. I get something from them every week.
I have in the past sent those pre-paid mailers back. Once I mailed them dried OATMEAL!
I wish I could have seen the look on their face when they opened that.
I will have to start mailing Capital One oatmeal and other strange stuff -- with a return address.

Some good ideas here. Having been a software developer for a telemarketing company, I can tell you that #4 will not work but the rest of the ideas are good. The software does not have routines to remove someone. Monthly, the software checks a removal list and deletes these numbers. The only way to get on this list is to tell each company to put you on it when they call and that is only if they are honest enough to put you on it. Some companies do not care.

Just great - I always throw my junk mail in the garbage and
for the telemarketers, I always say a stern "No thank, not interested"
and hang up.
But I will definitely use your ideas from now on. Saves the volume
on my garbage and my time to talk to the telemarketers.

I like it.
If you have a woodstove you can heat your house with the junk mail though. Its useful after all
