Yes Yes Yes. I do have some good tips.

I also have to be up by about 4:30/5ish most days to work..and it really was torture at first.

I went online and read a bunch of great sleeping tips, which also helped with waking up.

They say that after getting a good nights sleep (Dark, cool place, no sound or light...about 8 hours)...that you should expose your eyes to bright light immidiately after waking up. If you do this every day its supposed to tell your internal clock "Hey, look, light, its wake up time!!"...

I slept with my blinds wide opened and let the sun shine right in. Luckily for me it was summer time. I'm not sure where your living, but the sun light in the AM may not be an option. Maybe you can think about buying a timer for your bedroom lights...have them go on shortly after your alarm clock.

Once your alarm clock goes off (Maybe try putting it at the other side of the room, demanding that you actually get up and walk over to it to shut it off)...get up out of bed, go into the bathroom, wash your face, brush your teeth, and shower. Doing that helps me becuase after My teeth are brushed and I'm showered, I dont feel like getting back into bed.

Maybe you can try buying a citris scented soap. I have a face wash, and its speciffically for the morning ... its by clean and clear and its citris scented.....it really does give me a nice pick me up. no need to buy specific brands though, i think anything with that citris cent is uplifting.

Then have a nice cold glass of orange juice (i dont like juice so i usually have water) and a bowl of cerial (or whatever you eat for breakfast) and you'll be good to go!...and dont forget a multi-vitamin.
After about 6 weeks, it becomes habit.

***I noticed that some people suggested exercise first thing.. While they DO say to exercise early on in the day, exercising on an empty stomach makes my stomach upset. Try eating first.

We can take a cue from our Japanese Brothers and Sisters. A bowl of MISO SOUP in the morning, With Fish and eggs is extremely energizing in the morning and quickly supplies OXYGEN to the blood which is the true source of energy because it allows the blood to saturate the blood vessels and this will allow the ADRENAL GLANDS to truly work their magic. This opens the door for another energy booster CORTISOL which is what the body produces to get you up and out of bed& prepares you for the stress of the day. The problem with most people is TOO MUCH cortisol is produced which can actually be COUNTERPRODUCTIVE in the body. Everything needs to be carefully balanced in the Body . If you are not doing a Multi-Vitamin I recommend it first and formost the body needs Nutrients which act as COENZYMES( KEY ENERGY FACTORS FOR BODILY FUNCTIONS) to give your Body the raw materials and the fuel it needs to function. The Brain requires complex carbohydrates which gets converted into energy(ATP-Adenosine Triphosphate), Your Body needs Protein(which are the Building blocks for Hormones and Enzymes which break down food), and your nervous System needs B-VITAMINS more than what is in your multi-vitamin because they are WATER-SOLUABLE and can pass through your system in 8 Hours or so. Also adequate rest is especially important so that your body can truly recover. If you use these suggestions and approach the problem HOLISTICALLY these should help you. I hope this was helpful.

i get up at 5. Everyone I work with has days where they feel bad and it seem to be a lack of sleep more than anything else. I've also noticed I feel better and am losing weight since I started eating my 200 calories of muffins or cerael in the morning. Next get moving. When I didn't work and was younger I would immediately on waking drop to floor and do as many pushups as possible. Then get up and run. Of course I can't expect this alst idea to go over too well unless your nuts.

Yes, this can easily be taken care of by doing some simple things. Like excercising more in the day time, going to bed and sleep so that you can get at least 7 to 8 hours of good deep sleep, eating a good breakfast within a half hour of getting up, and make sure you abstain from Alcohol at night. When you get up drink a lukewarm glass of water before you eat also.

Good Luck

One is getting to bed but I to had problems when I started being diabetic ( No laughing matter and one to consider ) Especially if you can't come to a conclusion like trade to and evening shift. So seek out you sugar levals and if you been close to being let go \; Then get a note for the doctors office and don;t feel ashame as I lost a job whiche I liked but my supervisor was an AS_Ho_ _ _! He even comminted on things later even after he whack a guy golfing and killed him; this guy was an idiot. Let me know how it turns out because I am no ambition to even leave my comfort zone of getting dressed! Bfn

In the evening, on a empty stomach, perform yoga or a deep breathing exercise and then have a light dinner but a heavy breakfast in the morning

Exercising first thing gives me more energy. It's hard to do but once you get started you'll feel the difference.
