and I (and I had reason to) honked the hell out of him, and I also peered my head out the window, so he stops and rears his car back almost hitting mine, completely blocking my path and gets out of his car.
I stayed in mine and remained calm and polite, trying to diffuse the situation. He goes "What? What did you say?" When I didn't say anything, then I threw him a lie when he asked why I honked and said I was having a bad day. He replied "Bad day---you don't ******* know a bad day. Then he told me he'd **** me up.
And sped off. This happened a couple weeks ago and im still angry over it. When I go by where I work, the area he pulled out, I look for his car. Should I let if go? And was I violated in anyway?

Let it go. However, always be aware of your surroundings and everyone around. The best offense is a great defense! If you find yourself being followed, drive to a well lit, very public place like the police station, fire department etc.. stay in your car and lay on the horn. Someone will use there cell phone. They will be spooked off. Try to get at least the model of vehicle and part of a license plate number.

Considering he was soooo full of rage... you might want to file a police report. Do you remember anything about the guy or the car? Not necessarily to press charges but just to let the police know that this man is out there and ready to really hurt someone just for honking at him.... just in case one day he really decides to do it to someone... the police will already have a report filed that may help ID him. Or, if you do run into him again and he changes his mind and decides to come after you - you won't risk any issues about not being believed because you didn't come forward originally with the story... - just an idea...
The next time someone pulls in front of you like that... you might want to just roll your eyes and let him go on his way without doing anything... getting cut off isn't worth getting beaten to a pulp or losing your life over...

For your safety it is better to avoid any kind of dispute with other drivers. Honking is best used to alert a driver so as to not be accidentally hit by another vehicle. People will pull in front of you occasionally, it is a regular part of life on the road. Cutting in front is not a crime or a violation of anything except for possibly your feelings. In your story, you could have been assaulted, injured or killed. We do not know the mental state of the people in the cars around us. Actions interpreted as a personal attack can bring about a physical assault. Controlling your own temper can help you to avoid injury and stay safe among drivers who may do inconsiderate things.

Yes, you were "violated" by this person. He had no right to treat you in that manner but You also had no real reason to say what you didi either. GOD will judge each and every one of us at judgment. WE do not have the right or responsibility of doing so. You need to begin studying HIS WORD, THE BIBLE, regularly. The Christmas Season seems to be the worst time for a number of people. Get a smile on your face and if you ever see this person again you need to have a new and different attitude. You have no idea what he was going through and he had no idea what was going through your mind either. I have been a Christian for many years and I still become angry and SIN at times but I do my best to read, study, and pray for forgivness every time that I can. We have a forgiving GOD who sent HIS only Begotten SON so that we would have an opportunity to be forgiven and be in heaven with HIM. Find a group of friends and join in studying the BIBLE. You will be glad that you did. Have a great holiday season with friends and family.

Let it go, seriously. You never the know the insane person you meet and honk at and you are the last person that has lit the switch to set them off. . .even if you aren't in the wrong if he would have had a gun and was ready to end it all and take others with him would it have mattered that he cut you off that day? Get a life and let it go, it ain't that deep.

You have to accept people they way they are.
Yes, I had this happen to me which I get out of their way.
You have to remember you can't change people and you need to accept people as they are...
Yes, I meet people who are nuts, but once you accept them and say that is them, you set yourself free...
Also remember, get out of their way they are on a mission... Who knows where the mission is, but they are doing or had something done to them and you are right there.. The one guy who just tipped them off..... You have to understand alot of people don't tell the one who they love what they feel and if they don't express it, it builds up and up.. So, here you are and you tipped it off..... So, remember get out of the way.......
Accept things as they are and move on....

Typical episode of road rage. I suggest you let it go, you'll get over the incident over time.
