The GREs were much harder than I thought. I got like a zillion of those books, but it was still all a shock to me. First, all the books my friend told me said that I would get 4 sections, one being the super secret test section that I wouldn't know was a test section, but would have to complete anyway. No, that's not true. The computer told me my final section was a test and asked me if I wanted to take it (it was in math). Apparently if you score in the top 10% you are entered in a contest to win $5,000 or some bs. Who cares? Also, be sure to not go over the time limit...ever. They really really hurt you if you do that. I'm just glad I'm finished with them and dont have to take them ever again. I know some people say that the SAT is harder, but no way. The GRE is a rough test, but it is over quickly. Each section is about 45 mins, so about 2 1/2hrs total. Good luck.

There are GRE study sessions you can pay for, but you could spare the expense and get some GRE preparation booklets from your local library (try to get the most recent issues) and read it from cover to cover and do the practice tests. Of course it won't be the same answers when you take the GRE, but you will learn strategies on how to answer questions, not take too long on each section, how to strategically prepare to get a higher score, etc. It is all about preparation, so prepare and good luck!

It relies upon on the position you're placing out from. in case you're taking standardized checks properly and are at present in college or graduated those days you ought to not want a lot preparation. once you've been out of faculty for a at the same time as you'll probable opt to sweep up on some issues (noticeably those outdoors your significant) and also you'll ought to spend some more desirable time with prepare checks. in case you fairly warfare with standardized checks, noticeably once you've been out of faculty for a at the same time as, you ought to opt to take a prep route. I have a tendency to do fairly properly on standardized checks. I took the GRE my senior 365 days in college without prep in any respect and scored fairly properly. i did not visit grad college then. at the same time as i keen to pass and took them back, years later, I spent your time taking prepare checks and scored really properly, yet lower than my earlier ratings. I nonetheless were given into the grad faculties I utilized to, yet when i'd been utilizing to more desirable aggressive courses i'd have spent more desirable time on prep.
