Well since you have mentioned "indians" ; it may (mind it i am saying- may) not be fine...well it could be OK if you are not in any physical relationship but it will be hard to make your parents understand that...and in case you decide to marry, it will be THE most difficult thing. So its better you take another gurl with you and three or more people shall live otherwise, don't live together or, if by god's grace your parents agree, its the BEST!!!
nice to know you are concerned...god bless.

You can be roommates if you want.
Be aware, however, that what happens is that the female ends up doing the housekeeping. Make sure he has a clear understanding: he does his laundry, cooking, dishes and his share of the housework. You're both in school. You need to continue to study, not take on a dependent.
I would take parental objections into consideration, also, if parents object to sharing expenses, maybe they'd be willing to help you maintain your own place. Why start a huge family rift over a roommate?

Of course it is ok. Living together with other people saves money. Just because they are opposite sex doesn't matter. It is a good thing to find some one you can get along with and trust to live with. The landlord doesn't care who lives there as long as the rent gets paid and they and they don't break any tenancy laws.

No and don't worry about what other people think. As long as the rent gets paid the landlord won't mind.

It should be fine. Lots of flats are rented by people of both sexes who are friends.

it's not ideal for them to live under one roof even if they're just friends...one thing may lead to another...i understand in the US it,s not a big deal anymore but it,s best that we observe propriety even far away from home....
