Look up local health insurance companys or medical offices, places you could see yourself working who could use an intern. I was an intern and did my internship at a health insurance company. Busy companies with tight budgets love the idea of having one. Your there for free and your helping them out. The school I went to coordinated the internships but you can always call the human resources department and set yourself up. They dont have to hire you... your there to help. Once you get in show them how good you are and how much easier you made their lives being there... brown nose a little bit and by the time your internship is up they wont want you to go. Even with a tight budget they were able to fit me in. That was my strategy. Good Luck!

I would think that the school would have a job placement counselor that you could speak with. If not, then contact companies in your area that utilize this service and ask them if they offer any internship programs.

Good luck with your new career choice.
