It's normal to feel like this. After all, you are ending your ability to have children, and that is so IMPORTANT to us women. I was the same age you are when I had my tubes tied, and that was 20 some odd years ago. I was somewhat depressed before and afterward. Depressed before because I knew it was a permanent thing, and depressed afterward because there were moments when I truly would have loved having another baby. However, when I weighed the pros and cons I always felt better about my decision. It will take some getting use to..but you won't regret it, and you will get adjusted to it. There is a good feeling of freedom involved with not having to worry about getting pregnant also. I was able to enjoy my sexual life so much more knowing I would not get pregnant. It happens that some women can still get pregnant, but that is a very RARE occurrence. Good luck to you. You will do fine. Just give yourself some time. Think it through one more time in a quiet place without any outside interference, and if you still feel negative about it, you might want to reconsider. It is not too late to change your mind unless you wait until after the surgery. Search your heart...and the answer will come to you. Good luck! I know you will do fine.

Well, don't be afraid of surgery. The surgens are well trained, and this is no quadruple bypass. If you're sad because you can't have any more kids, don't be. Just think, if you have more kids you won't be able to spend as much time with the ones you already have.

I m guessing your children are young... So I want you to trust me on this one as I have 4 girls... When they hit about 12 you will be jumping for joy about your decision. Those teenage years are killer. Good luck!

Maybe if you are feeling that way you should put it off. You are very young. Try going with an IUD instead!!!

Just a suggestion!!
