I have the same problem! I'm always like "slow down! couples walk together" and he cracked a joke saying "in ancient China, women had to walk at least 10 paces behind their partner" and i'm like "we are NOT in ancient China!"
I don't need to hold his hand or anything, but boy would it be nice if he'd just walk next to me like a boyfriend does!
I feel for ya.
I guess maybe try to walk in front of him and see how he likes it. My boyfriend hates it because then all the guys think you're single and check you out and he has to witness them doing this and it gets him pissed!

Dogs walk at a faster pace than humans, but as far as walking them and the dog is in front, this is not the way to walk a dog you have to stay a step ahead this shows that you are the big dog the pack leader, Reason People get dragged by their dogs is becuase of poor training or allowing it, this gives more control to the dog and less control by the owner, a legitamite dog walk is with them walking beside you are a step behind, You are walking your dog correctly not only does this show you are the pack leader, but will also show companionship,

You are not being petty. It's quite rude of him. He's probably oblivious. Is he Japanese? I believe that used to be a Japanese custom. Have you talked to him about it? Use "I" phrases so he doesn't get defensive. Honey, I feel very left behind when I'm not walking next to you when we're out together. I just can't seem to keep up no matter how fast I walk. Remember when we used to hold hands and talk as we walked? I miss that. If he forgets, call him back. Honey! When he turns around to see what you want, hold your hand out to him and smile. Then chat and flirt with him as you walk. I still flirt with my husband and it keeps the relationship fresh--in more than one way! Good Luck. Let me know how it turns out even if you don't prefer this solution.
Remember, it's not about who's right as long as you get what you need!

What's so wrong about ur husband walking in front of u? If you don't like it, just start by walking at the same pace as him or walk faster and overtake him. Or you can just tell him that what he's doing is driving you nuts....and who knows...maybe he'll stop doing that.

You are not being petty. I have had guys complain that I walk too fast and they feel as though I don't want to be with them. Tell your husband, or try holding his hand when you are walking. That way he has to walk beside you.

Try getting in front of him and leave him behind...He is being disrespectful and you should tell him so..He may not even realize that he is doing this to you.Speak up girl! We women have to tell our men when they are being rude.Sometimes they can be such little boys,LOL

Depends, ask why before you get mad. I have a friend that does that so he can get the door before me & when we walk on the sidewalk he always walks on the outside to protect me for mud, water, dog or anything that could happen.
Ask first, this trip him.....

Put those long legs to good use. Hit him in the back of the knees and trip him up. Then keep walking.

try to hold his hand or arm when you both go out together next time. It might help... because at least then he would be unable to walk fast or ahead of you then ...
Anyway ... I think there might be just some misunderstand only... cheers ~~~
