Late Hawaiian singer Israel Kamakawiwo`ole.
He became famous outside Hawaii when his album "Facing Future" was released in 1993 with his medley of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "What a Wonderful World", which has been featured in several films, TV programs and commercials. People remember it because of the beautiful, haunting quality of IZ's voice. That particular song has also been released as a single (or is planned to be ).
