Dunno about the rest of Africa but it has started to snow almost every year in South Africa, although mostly in the Drakensberg mountains and i think in the Ceres Valley. This year was a particularly cold winter and it snowed in central South Africa (around Johannesburg) - the last time it snowed there was, roughly, in 1995. (Just in case you didn't know winter is around June/July)

Lesotho, i think, also gets snow as well as Swaziland.

Actually it does snow, but on top of the higher mountains, thank goodness. In South Africa it can get quite cold during the winter (around may-august, when you are broiling in the summer heat).

Mount Kilimanjaro ( Tanzania) has glaciers and a snow cap...it is a volcano and the glaciers are disappearing because of Global warming. As for the last snow there...I'd have to have a look...not sure.
