There must be one thing they like to do more than any other. If it is listening to music, you could give them a gift card to a record store. If it is going to gory movies, you could give them a movie pass.
You should know your friend's likes by now. Play to them. But leave them the option of doing the final choosing. That is why I suggested gift cards or passes. You enable them to go out and get that one thing they have been dreaming of, for themselves.

first of all, can you please be specific on what your friends gender is?? and your friend's favorites?????? HELLO!! earth to you?? well, if your friend is a she:P give her something that she really likes which something you can afford(of course)..and if your friend is a he: give him something he really adores or something valuable to him.
