My friends brother (17) took his life in september and it really affected me because I know a lot of my friends have tried or even been in that place. So I wrote a play about teen suicide. It is going to be performed and all the money raised will be sent to 'The yellow ribbon suicide prevention program'. But I am having trouble making a playlist. It seems that all songs are about ... just to cliche... sex drugs and rock n roll. So please tell me if you have any ideas for songs that fit in with the theme. Thanks.

for sure that is a chance to have a fine looking wedding ceremony with out spending a fortune! First, parent out your funds (which incorporates what you've kept and how a lot you may positioned in course of it each month). Then, parent out the three issues that are maximum important to both of you. Is it necessary you've platinum earrings? What about a clothier gown? Is a sit down meal a ought to? What about band - do you need to have one? once you exercising recurring what concerns to you maximum you'll be able to make judgements extra extremely - cuz you'll understand precisely the position the overall public of your money might want to bypass. I created a step-with the help of-step wedding ceremony planner (lined for loose with my wedding ceremony handbook) which could help you exercising recurring a funds that would not "experience" like a funds - because you get to splurge on the failings that you extremely choose! My handbook has a ton of saving options too! yet between the most important is the magnitude of your venue - pick it heavily! What you imagine is the most inexpensive venue may not be. So make confident you concentrate on the fee of decorations and the meal at the same time as determining on your venue. also, make confident it's going to artwork with your topic! a good venue can just about negate the choose for ANY decorations.

"Jeremy" by Pearl Jam is about teen that commits suicide, but that is a pretty edgy song and also I think involves shooting other classmates so that might not fit with your theme.

Also , don't know if you've heard the song Runaway Train by Soul Asylum, but that might work too. Here are lyrics I found online:

Call you up in the middle of the night
Like a firefly without a light
You were there like a blowtorch burning
I was a key that could use a little turning

So tired that I couldn't even sleep
So many secrets I couldn't keep
Promised myself I wouldn't weep
One more promise I couldn't keep

It seems no one can help me now
I'm in too deep
There's no way out
This time I have really led myself astray

Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I'm neither here nor there

Can you help me remember how to smile
Make it somehow all seem worthwhile
How on earth did I get so jaded
Life's mystery seems so faded

I can go where no one else can go
I know what no one else knows
Here I am just drownin' in the rain
With a ticket for a runaway train

Everything is cut and dry
Day and night, earth and sky
Somehow I just don't believe it

Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I'm neither here nor there

Bought a ticket for a runaway train
Like a madman laughin' at the rain
Little out of touch, little insane
Just easier than dealing with the pain

Runaway train never comin' back
Runaway train tearin' up the track
Runaway train burnin' in my veins
Runaway but it always seems the same

Little Willow by Paul McCartney, he wrote this about the death of Maureen Starkey; Ringo Starr's first wife, who died of breast cancer.
The lyrics are below but it's worth listening to; try looking on Youtube; you can see the video for it which actually tells the story of Maureen's battle with cancer. Beautiful song.

Bend, little willow
Wind's gonna blow you
Hard and cold tonight

Life, as it happens
Nobody warns you
Willow, hold on tight

Nothing's gonna shake your love
Take your love away
No one's out to break your heart
It only seems that way... hey

Sleep, little willow
Peace gonna follow
Time will heal your wounds

Grow to the heavens
Now and forever
Always came too soon

Little willow

Nothing's gonna shake your love
Take your love away
No one's out to break your heart
It only seems that way... hey

Bend, little willow
Wind's gonna blow you
Hard and cold tonight

Life, as it happens
Nobody warns you
Willow, hold on tight

Ah, little willow
Little willow

November rain by Guns N' Roses is a really good song for that.
It's about an unhappy wife who shot herself at her wedding reception.
It's a 9 minute slow song with alot of hooks and it's really pretty.
You can find it on youtube.com.
