Does anyone else have to work early or late because of Christmas? Our store opened at 7 instead of 9 today. I'm so sleepy. How can I wake up? I alread tried the turbo coffee from Burger King but it's making my stomach ache.

Yeppers...we opened here at 8 this morning and close at 11. I closed last night and opened this morning. Would be quite as bad, other than the fact that during the week I work in an elementary school, so I was pretty much at work all day yesterday, even though it wasnt the same job. Next week putting in a couple extra nights closing, otherwise I was just working weekends because of school. Yeah sleepy here too...we have a coffee place right downstairs, or Burger King in the first level also.

I work in a large retail store which is open 24hrs. During the Christmas season, my hours vary a lot. A number of days sofar I've had to go in at 6am but usually I start around 9am.
Try going to bed earlier. That way you're more rested. Maybe eat a granola bar or something similar on the drive to work.

You are going to hate me, but my job actually closes for a week and a half (December 21st - Jan 2nd) and I get paid for all those days so I am loving the holiday season. I work at Notre Dame as a counselor and this is one of the benefits to working in a college/university setting. . .plus the two months off in the summer is nice!

we closed at 10:00 p.m. Christmas Eve and were open Christmas Day from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. we were open the same hours on New Years Eve and Day as Christmas.

at my work, they're opened at 8a.m. until 5p.m. they're closed on christmas and new year. i'm not going work on dec 22 - jan 1 because i'm take vacation.
