Both Cons and Libs have got some scandal or another on them. Having said that, it seems that the vast majority of Americans always use the lame excuse of "Aw because if we don't trust our Government then who can we trust?"........what a crock a shi*! for goodness sakes, what wrong with us? we are like a bunch of chickens couped up in a fence being corn fed everything by the by the Gov't and the me. Although we protest on issues, it gives no weight to anyone. If you protest so what? you can't change the course of whats going on in the head of any President. Protests have never proven successful. Even if you look at Vietnam, our protests upon protests did not really make a difference until it was to late.

More importantly, if somone in the congress wanted to push a No Confidence Vote on a President, it would be Pigeon-Holed because of the Lobbists and Interest Groups involved.

The false dichotomy of "Conservative vs. Liberal", the macho pissing-contest mentality smeared all over the media and broadcast all over creation, none of it inspires any amount of trust in government. Piddly 50,000-people protests are too easily dispersed by police action. The hell with a million man march, we've got 300mln mouths to feed and over half a trillion being spent to kill brown people every goddamn year.
We the People will not stand for another "intelligence failure", another step towards the United Police States of the American Republic, not one more penny for the vile child-molesting walking mounds of excrement till they get the hell out of my country.

Yes, some people put way too much trust in governments. I'm not one of those people. Liberal, conservative, green, whatever, they're all ego-maniacs with selfish reasons for being elected. While I agree with one side more than the other, I have no trust or confidence either side will do what's right when they're more worried about being reelected.
Also, people have a tendency to rely on the government which leads to another level of trust. If we force our fellow citizens to be more self-reliant, we'll find a more efficient government as our elected officials will notice that we all don't need their handouts.

Wasn't it Regan who suggested the scariest words in the English language have been, "i'm here from the government and that i'm here to assist" or something like that? Conservatives do no longer have confidence it no rely who's in workplace.
