i think Iron Miaden had a really good sound and they were really the first rock band to use 666 in a song
and Deep Purple created one of the most recognizable riffs

Deep Purple was very popular. Smoke on the Water is a classic. Iron Maiden's Eddie made them popular. The Flight of Icarus was excellent . Live After Death has alot of their top songs.

Deep Purple aren't heavy metal !!! If anything they are progressive rock, remember the concerto for group and orchestra??? This guy doesn't know his music..
