Don't do it and say you did. :) She maybe a bit of a germaphobe. I don't think it's necessary everytime, but that maybe what she's used to and comfortable with. Get one of those self cleaning shower thingies they sell. It sprays the shower with cleaner for you. :)

If you desire to keep water spots off of the walls of your shower, yes, washing it down each time helps a lot.
As you use a shower, you splash soap residue onto the walls. Also, possibly your shower water contains some deposits of calcium and / or iron. If you do not clean the water off, iron will eventually leave nasty looking reddish brown stains on the walls. Calcium rich water leaves behind a white film that can build into a most unpleasant looking white crust on walls and fittings in your shower. Recall those white cone shaped things growing from the ceiling and floor of deep underground caves...same thing, only those are years and years old.
It only takes a moment to wash down the shower. When done, it is nice and shiney clean for the next user. Go with the flow...
Regards,
Zah

This is unnecessary, would be a waste of time for you (I'm sure you have better things to do). You like many others have experienced the small imperfections of a roommate.
I think it would be best to find out exactly WHY she wants you to do this (she finds you unhygenic? she has an obsessive-compulsive personality? both?) and then tackle that problem.
Or you can always coat the shower with some kind of hydrophobic (water, dirt and therefore germ 'repelling') coating (look em up on the web) and tell your roomie about it.

Maybe it is not necessary but to her it is and to keep the peace I would just do it. I also would find something that you might want to enforce on her such as don't allow one dish in the sink or something silly that she will have to abide by too.
~Good luck!

that is definately nessecary because it's disgusting to have hair in the shower or hair clogging the drain. i wouldn't say you have to wash it out every time because that is a little over the top. maybe every other time though.

At least use a squeege on it. It will save you work in the long-run.
