Well I would guess our cable companies have to pay to have the channel. That gardening show is funny, they turn every back garden into the exact same design. Yet I watch all the time, why is that?

I understand where you're coming from, but without the BBC, whether it's TV, Radio, Web - how would we spread our propaganda and received pronunciation, thus demonstrating our unquestionable dominance over the largest Empire the planet has ever known?
huh?
we don't have an Empire?
WE GAVE IT BACK?
without even asking my opinion?

but i do get hissed off when there's a chat show on Radio4 at dark o'clock in the a.m. GMT and you've got one guy from New Dehli arguing with another from Prague - I don't understand either of them, so what chance do they have - one could be describing how to make cake-frosting for all I know, while the other one wants to know which part of the ICBM would be the bast place to store it.

The British TV licence payers don't pay for that channel, it's part of the BBC's commercial arm, BBC Worldwide, that uses advertising and the selling of DVD's and magazines to fund itself.

I disagree with you. Cultural differences make or ruin what style of comedy is considered "humorous" or "rubbish." each and every way of life has their own type of comedy and, except you recognize the form of life, no longer anybody will like the comparable type. i think of it relatively is large you appreciate the Brittish/English comedy type. besides, each and every way of life has the two good and undesirable comedy. I even have caught slightly the Monty Python's Flying Circus and theory a number of it became humorous. lots of the comedy is to no longer my liking nonetheless. Why is this? by using fact I lack the information of the form of life and what's considered "humorous" in that way of life. I even have watched slightly yank comedy which I do understand commonly, yet nonetheless, do unlike lots of it. Carlos Mencia is humorous besides as Christopher Titus, yet no longer each and all of the time. to answer your question on human beings, no longer in simple terms human beings, being extra humorous whilst they do no longer attempt, it is not planned out. sometimes the terrific comedy is something that in simple terms occurs. it is likewise no longer a recurring it relatively is performed persistently making it grow to be stagnant and uninteresting. Now, for the final ingredient you suggested. became that an attempt at humor? If no longer, my concept is, till you're suited, you need to be slightly extra courteous.

Have you seen BBC 24? They show 20 minutes of news and then repeat it over and over and over and over for the next 24 hours. Lovely!
