yes.sometimes it goes back to how they were treated as they grew up.as they perceived it. There are serial Bullies. Sociopaths.Very Narcisistic people who are ruining other peoples lives. They look for vulnerability.and then they do their stuff.

Yes. I think that people poke their nose where in doesn't belong. They don't have a life of their own most of the time. I think people should mind their own business. Tend to their problems. Instead of making others miserable. One of my sayings is, "If everyone would mind their own business and leave others alone the world would be a better place." I'm talking about those who thrive on finding faults in anyone but them. And making the rest of us miserable.

Yes, it's very true. "Misery loves company" is a great description for this. I call them "energy sucks" they do their very best to take everything that's good away from life, both theirs and everyone elses.
I have learned through experience that you must dismiss these type of people from your life. Last year I had to do that to one of my relatives. She is the most negative person I've ever met and I got sick of her always stirring the 'emotional pot' in our family, especially during the holidays. I completely ignore her at family functions and no longer invite her to my home. She is my husbands sister. If he wants to see her, he does it on his own. Trust me, I'm much better off for it.

while that is one of the best and healthiest assumptions to carry around it is without a shadow of a doubt never absolutely true, i be hard pressed to believe that it would stand up to over 75% of the cases.
some people are sociopaths who never will be dissatisfied with their lives but may be depressed. some are just jackasses.

Someone like that lives with me, my 69 year old Dad, a.k.a. Bullwinkle! (You know, Mr. Know-it-all?) It's aweful. The saddest part? You may not realize that you are actually starting to behave just like them. If you don't like them, you won't like yourself. I got to that point. Now, if he starts his rumbling, I have all the experience in the world to give it back and I do. He spends alot more time in his room these days.

Others are allowing themselves to be controlled by the perpetrator of misery.
