The music is initially Robbie Williams. The lyrics have been surely co-written by him! i think of there is been some confusion because of the fact Jessica Simpson and David Archuleta have the two performed recorded covers of the music. I notably propose listening to David's cover in case you have not already.

Robbie Williams makes pots in Stoke On Trent. Sometimes he does gigs in the local Social Clubs and claims he 'co-wrote' Angels but he only sang on it. Badly. His pots are crap too.

He "co-wrote" (and we all know what that means so basically he didn't!) it with Guy Chambers. Afterwards I think at some awards thing he took credit for it and thats why they fell out. He's a prat anyway....as if he could wirte a classic tune like that!

Williams wrote this with his long time songwriting collaborator Guy Chambers in less than 25 minutes.

It is disputed. Some chap in Dublin claims (possibly with some justification) to have co-written it with Robbie but gets no share of the royalties..............
