Don't tell me it goes something like this. The Nigerian said, if you in X amount of money, you will recieve XXX amount in return. Don't do it it's a scam! Trying looking up 20/20 about a week ago, they were do a special on the Nigerian scam. One Nigerian even try to get 20/20 to do business with him here in the states. 20/20 even went to Nigeria looking for the company that the Nigerian speak of and you guess it. The company does not exist. Trust your friends...Save your money and invest in something that you are sure of. When in doubt walk away.

Unless you have good contacts over there and know who is and who is not shady, it is in your best interest to stay away from them. There is a lot of trickery going on which if you were unaware. People who deal with the Nigerians with regard to money transfers (money laundering) usually get taken plus the Americans helping in that transfer get jail time even though the American was unaware. Perhaps you'd be safer if you just stay away. You don't need that kind of stuff in your life.
And, you can read up on the "419 Nigerian scams" on the internet, just type that into the search engine. But every day they are coming up with new scams.

There is a Nigerian Scam going around, whereby you are "selected" to help get a large amount of money out of the country. The reasons given for the cash are usually along the line of someone in the government had control of the money, and suddenly died. The person now controlling the money cannot move it himself, so you are asked to help. Obviously you will be paid a percentage, for helping. All that is needed is to have you give them your bank account number, and they can transfer the cash to you. After you give them the number, they access your account and clean it out. The old caveat applies here, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.".
