If my gf would have a baby I would have to pay child support right because it's half mine right?

Now why can she get a abortion if I would want to keep the baby myself. I mean it's half mine right?

No I haven't had a baby but they say that passing a kidney stone is just as fun. I be looking forward to that when I'm 40 or something...

No it's totally OK for a woman to kill a baby.

The law allows a woman to have an abortion, because until a baby is born it's not considered a human being...it's a fetus, an as yet unfinished, would be human baby.

There may be some rights you could have if you really want to go for the challenge and pay the attorney fees. See if legal services can help you in the matter. It probably would, if that could happen, cost you a lot. For sure you'd have to be well situated financially to be able to prove you could support the child, and other matters pertaining to child care and raising.

The best bet would be -- talk to your girlfriend. Find out why she doesn't want to carry the baby to full term. Is she scared, without support? Does she want to get married before she starts her family? Talking and being fair minded will probably get you the fastest and most fair resolution. Half yours only counts if you're married, I believe. Otherwise, your rights are very limited. Check with Legal Services.

It isn't fair, to the father or to the baby.
BTW fetus is Latin for unborn child, so to all of you who say it isn't a baby yet it is a fetus , your words make as much sense as
someone saying it isn't a casa, it's a house. They are the same thing. Calling something by it's scientific name doesn't change what it is.

Are you glad that your mother didn't think of you as a useless fetus to be dismembered and thrown away with the trash?
I am, but I was lucky enough to be born back when people knew
that a baby is a baby even though you can't see him or her without a sonogram.

Well... It's not fair that she has to carry the baby the whole nine months either... Its half yours right?... Some things in life just aren't fair, no matter how you cut it.

Until the baby is out of her, under current law, it's HER body, HER decision. So, no, you can't fight legally for her to keep it if she decides not to, and you ARE on the hook for the next 18+ years if she decides to keep it.

It's not fair in my eyes, but your senators, and legislators are under the impression it's her body-not a baby. It's a choice they tell us. Good luck.

That is very true it is so not fair. The laws are always looking out for the mothers why I don't know that is messed up.
