Can Bush ask Osama or Saddam “why did you start war against me when once I was your good friend”?

Sure they could ask that question, but it's a pretty stupid one.

Osama Bin Ladin was part of the Mujahadeen, which was supported by the US in it's fight to expell the USSR that was trying to conquer it. They were successful in this because of our support. How was America repaid? Multiple attacks on the USA, culminating in 9/11. Is this how you repay the people who help you?

We did support Iraq in it's conflict with Iran, seeing a stalemate there better than Iran taking over the middle east. How were we repaid for this? Saddam takes over Kuwait, and this threatens Saudi Arabia.
This leads to the gulf war.

As you can see, we did at times support these people, but mostly out of necessity (stopping communism, stopping Iranian Islamofascism) rather than genuine love, but our help did come back to bite us.

Saddam was pals with Reagan and with Rumsfeld.
Osama and his entire family would vacation in Crawford every Summer prior to 9/11.
That's why Boosh attacked Saddam and Iraq and didn't go after Osama.

Dig?

Saddam could but it was Osama who turned on the states after they helped Afganistan against the Russians. Get your facts straight.

Well, since we funded both at some time in the past, under Reagan, and the first Bush... I guess both are entitled to ask that question.

We spent literally millions of dollars supporting both under previous Republican presidents - something most people seem to forget....

And our 'allies' in Saudi Arabia continue to support Osama Bin Laden... we're in an awkward situation in trying to take him down.

So lets see - we spent hundreds of millions of dollars building up Saddam Hussein.

And the Bush's close ties to Saudi Arabia remain intact despite the Saudi's ongoing support of terrorists who hate America...

Yes - both would be entitled to ask 'What did we do wrong...?'

Osama's friend was Clinton who saved Osama's life 8 times, because Clinton wanted him to be his buddy.
Osama thanked him by killing over 3 thousand Americans.
How's that for buddies, eh?

No, they can't, since they are not so stupid.
All 3 of them perfectly understand that in politics and warfare alliances come and go, because the world changes in time and so do personal and collective needs and attitudes.

They all would rather have a loud laugh about ordinary people's naiveness, which makes their job so easy.

They can ask anything they want. The answer always comes back to why do they keep biting the hand thats feeding them. A friend does not fly passenger airplanes into tall buildings
