if she is normally with him during the day, or organizing his night routine,,,, get the information from her, as to what his schedule is, nap time/ what he eats,,,, make sure and have a list of all numbers you might need,, pediatrician,,, poison control, school or day care etc,,, depending on his age,,,, especially if he is young, expect some emotions/reactions to her being gone,,,,,,, very small children have separation anxiety,,,,,,,, i would say work with his past schedule, and also add in some special things for him and you to do,,,,, go out to eat a certain day,, the park a certain day etc,,,,, it really depends on his age, as to what approach you will take,,,

What do you mean tackle? he is a little boy, missing his mum. He will want laughter, encouragement, loads of hugs and a lot of love and patience, that is not tackling, it is being a loving Father

how young is ur son? what is ur age? u can arrange what ever he asks. purchase some toys..if he is too small. so that he can listen u. if u r a miser...it is different.
Send him to near by school. or in baby care centre. be friendly with neighbours..so that they may take care of ur son in ur absence. u hav to plan as per ur facilities..relations u maintain with ur neighbours...

firstly ... if u wanna keep ur son in control then provide him with most of the necessary things but don't let him have enough money ... coz that may create some problems even ...
