if she is normally with him during the day, or organizing his night routine,,,, get the information from her, as to what his schedule is, nap time/ what he eats,,,, make sure and have a list of all numbers you might need,, pediatrician,,, poison control, school or day care etc,,, depending on his age,,,, especially if he is young, expect some emotions/reactions to her being gone,,,,,,, very small children have separation anxiety,,,,,,,, i would say work with his past schedule, and also add in some special things for him and you to do,,,,, go out to eat a certain day,, the park a certain day etc,,,,, it really depends on his age, as to what approach you will take,,,

What do you mean tackle? he is a little boy, missing his mum. He will want laughter, encouragement, loads of hugs and a lot of love and patience, that is not tackling, it is being a loving Father
