I had fairly heavy bleeding for the first 5 months of my middle pregnancy, I went on to have a very healthy 7lb girl and she is now 13. I had already had 2 miscarriages and worried the whole time. I kno it is hard but hang on to the positives and try not to worry too much, rest as much as you can and keep going back to your Dr for check-ups and if you have any worries ring your midwife, or go to the A&E at your hospital.
Good Luck!

If you are really worried go back to hospital. I have a two year old daughter and when I was 9 weeks pregnant with her I began bleeding heavily. I was in and out of hospital but my baby was fine. It turned out, at my later scans, that I had actually been pregnant with twins and lost one. The empty sac was there with no baby. There could be a valid reason for the bleeding. Some women still have periods throughout their pregnancies. Always remember it's better to be safe than sorry. If in doubt go back to hospital!

im sorry to say this sounds very like my own miscarriage last week. i started bleeding very heavy on 29th november was rushed to hospital, a scan revealed the baby was fine and the heartbeat was strong and steady (15 wks) was sent home and told to stay in bed and return if the bleeding got any heavier. last tuesday 6th went in for another scan and the baby was still fine. in the early hours of thursday 8th i was in a lot of pain and knew i had to be in labour. while waiting for the doctor in hospital i gave birth to a little boy (jacob). had to have a d&c fo remaining placenta and keyhole surgery to check for fibroids etc that could have led to the miscarriage. doctors have dont tests which i wont get the results back for another 5 weeks to check mine and my partners chromosones to any abnormalities between us. more that likely thought the bleeding was caused by the placenta tearing away from the uterus. i really hope your baby is ok and
your pregnancy continues successfully but your symptoms sound so like my own.

Heya
sorry you're going through a hard time at the moment...personally speaking if you're not happy and are worried etc then get yourself back to trhe hospital. I know it is common to sometimes bleed in early pregnancy but taken into consideration that you've also been forwarned that bleeding is near to baby then it's better to be safe then sorry,
good luck x

if the bleeding is dark colored, looks like old blood, then it may be from the previous bleed, if it is fresh with abdominal cramps, better to be checked out, take adequate rest.
if there is any problem in the fetus for ex like chromosomal anomaly, infections, then the chances of survival of the fetus is less. i think it is a blessing in disguise.
all the best. take care

I really dont think they should of sent you home.
I would call your GP out on an emergency home visit.
And i would say you should be taking total bed rest.
I wish you all the luck in the world.
Hope it all works out for you.
