i have always loved christmas and still do... i always loved the feelings of togetherness...
for a few years now i've had friends come to christmas dinner with their families too... this year however i will be all alone...
i lost a friend earlier this year and my friends have all decided that we shouldn't carry on the tradition without her...
i am no longer allowed to see my older sister so she wont be here...
i lost unfortunatly my younger sister this year too... so she will not be here to make me smile and to give me my christmas hug when i awaken...
my mother will be over seas and my brother will be with his girlfriend...
my father and step mother will be inter state...
so i will be all on my own...
how can i be happy this christmas?
am i doomed to have the ony day i've ever fully appreciated, become one filled with cold sorrow?
how can i be so alone?

You sound like youre going through a hard time right now and im sorry for that. I know all about lonlieness at christmas. I ve had a lot of them were i was on my own. And i know a lot of people are saying things like "take charge of how you feel....." and c r a p like that but that stuff doesnt make you fell any better. You feel lonely so just accept that, dont fight it or anything, let it in. Coz when you do i promise you'll feel better and not so lonley. I know that sounds like it doesnt make sense but its true, it works. Im not saying youre gonna feel great but it will help a bit. I know its hard, you go to the shops and all you see is happy people together, but life moves in cycles. It sounds like you had some nice happy christmases b4 but now it aint so good. But you will have happy christmasses again, trust me. For the moment, just be nice to yourself. Buy yourself a present and on christmas day go for a long walk. Dont stay in your home all day. Hope that helps a little. Good luck

Dont worry my dear, of course you are not alone - the loving Jesus is with you to hug you and love you. Make new friends this Christmas season, visit some old home or orphanage in your area. Do something positive and guess what this will be the best Christmas you ever have had.... Cheer up and wishing you a very Happy and Joyous Jesus-filled Christmas and A wonderful New Year with lots of love, peace and happiness!

I have spent Christmas on my own more than once. It is no big deal. Don't talk yourself into feeling depressed for no reason. Holidays are hype and they will program you to feel you are missing something if you don't experience it just like in the ads on tv. Make a creative plan. Take charge of your own experience. And find a way to put some meaning into the day that will make you smile.

Join the club. My boss didn't give me approval for 2 days off after Christmas day until Dec.1st,when I tried to make airline reservations, the prices went up over 500 dollars.from what they were from Denver to Buffalo.
A ticket now cost almost 900 dollars for 5 days is ridiculous, that is almost my whole 2 weeks pay.
not worth it,I would rather buy presents for family with that money then give it to rich airline executives.
Sorry for your dilemma ,but I don't understand the part about you not being "allowed" to see your older sister..
Why doesn't your boyfriend invite you over to his family's house ? That is not very nice of him not to invite you.

volunteer at a shelter or some organization. everybody needs help find programs or even a care home for the elderly. Helping others helps you forget how lonely you are. I have been overseas for the past 10 years for the holidays. You are never alone.

This Christmas you could find a boyfirend to spend your time with or hang out at one of your neighbor's house and chill out with them for a while, to not feel so lonely. Or you know u could get a good christmas and cuddle up on your couch with some good comfort food.

Sorry, I'm not from there, but make sure you smell the tree nice and close before cutting it. Some actually smell bad and if it is cold out, you may not notice until you get it into a nice warm room.

phone calls and internet chatter will make sure you are not truly alone. But don't dismay, use this physical void as a time of self reflection, maybe some good will come of it.
