Tell my lil dog to stop licking my ears! ... Every freaking day of the week (on weekends too) "6:45 a.m. sharp" he is there licking my ears to wake me up - I reckon he thinks he is an alarm clock or something. You cannot imagine my agony during daylight savings hour period - when he perceives 5:45 as his usual 6:45. :-) And even if I lock him in, in another room, come 6:45 he barks barks barks until he manages to wake me up. In the beginning I thought he wakes me up because he is hungry and/or thirsty or even misses his play time, but it's none of that; he just likes to wake me up when HE thinks I should wake up, period. ... Once I tried to ignore his ear lickings attempts, BTW, and you know what he did? He gave me a stiff little wake up call bite on my big toe! :-) :-)

the very first thing??? use the bathroom. Then, look for my sneakers, put on sweatpants, walk the dog, bring the dog in and feed him, watch a few minutes of TV, eat breakfast, read my emails, shower, dress, go to work. Make the bed? No.

Grope for my glasses... then head for the bathroom... after the necessities (potty and wash hands) I brush my teeth and put Visine in my eyes to try to wake them up. I try not to even speak to another living soul until I've completed this regimen - lol
Then I hit my computer to see what happened while I was sleeping :)

The first thing I do when I wake up is check the time. I do not ordinarily use alarms.
