I know it does because a lawyer friend of mine said it was in effect a year before it was in England but i need a statutory reference. Anybody help??

Well the answer to that is yes, but do a search for the Scottish Parliament legal office and the Home Office / Human Rights in London. I am not in touch with the new administration of the Scottish Assembly also the Office of the United Nations/Human Rights. where such a complex web of information may be found.

Actually I think that Scotland has its own Human Rights Act. Try Scottish Law Reports.

Yes but it applies to Humans not Sassenachs.
Oh and if ye gaes there the blokes in skirts are not "Gay" but wearing Skirts or Kilts as they are known, is part of the Local custom, (See "Carry on up the Khyber"), very good ploy for getting ladies interested, and tremendously convenient for indulging in a quicky, especially if nothing is "worn" beneath the kilt.
