As noted earlier, you can take a Pre-paid Taxi or Pre-paid autorickshaw, pay in advance and ride all the way to the airport without any further hastle.

You also have a choice of hiring a EATS Coach run by the Ex-servicemen Airport Transport Service; they run these buses every half hour between New Delhi train station and the international Airport - the fare used to be Rs. 50 per head.

The Delhi Transport Corporation also runs similar Airport buses. The frequency is however less often; possibly every one hour. The fare is the same as the EATS coaches.

Are you travelling with luggage then this is difficult task. Better to travel by Metro up to New Delhi and then take Auto Rickshaw /Taxi [Pre paid]in your own safety. From T3 of the IGI Airport, board a metro train on Orange Line towards New Delhi Metro station. From New Deli station switch to yellow line going towards Jahangirpuri and get off at Chandni Chowk Metro station. From Old Delhi Railway station is barely 300-350 meters.
