Of course the killer whale escapes and takes charge of a pod of killer whales. In the mean time, an aircraft crash lands on a ice flow in the arctic. The rogue killer whale & survivers of the crash are destined to meet at the end. But until then the book describes, from the rogue killer whale's view, it's exploits. A scuffle with walruses is one example. I read this book in the early 1980's and for the life of me can not remember the author or title. Perhaps someone here can help.

No, it wasn't Orca.
I saw that movie, not bad, but definately not the same story as the book. In the movie the killer whale is seeking vengence for his mate being killed.

Orca. It was a movie too.

Oh, not Orca. Let me look around and see what I can find.

OK. Try looking at these books on Amazon. Maybe you'll recognize the title or cover art.
