From my experiences in the Marine Corps, the only thing I know of is really to let it just air out. I would recommend trying to clean off every surface as thoroughly as possible, but the tear gas will linger for about two weeks to a month anyway.

According to wikipedia, decontamination can be performed by washing with an alkaline solution of water and 5% sodium bisulfite (sulfuric acid), although I shudder to think what that will do to your house.

I wouldn't know. Shouldn't they have dispatched clean up to clean the house of any evidence? Also try "airing out" the house. Or call professional house cleaning and ask whether they can do what you want them to.

why wa it sprayed? Drug related? If it was not your fault, have them to pay for the cleaning.
