Hi, I just had my second child and was wondering if anyone else has had this same issue after giving birth. When I was pushing, I was told to bend my legs and put my chin to my chest to push him out...
After the birth i felt this enormous muscle pain all along my upper back and shoulders.
It has been 4 days now and it is starting to heal, but now i feel that the pain is pretty much just under and around my left shoulder blade... Has anyone else experienced this from pushing and did it feel as though your lungs were sore too? Why does this happen?

Congratulations :)
As you know, giving birth is hard work and requires a lot of effort, taking a big toll on your whole body, not just the bits that push bub out.
You're sore because you clenched your muscles, or held yourself in unusual/uncomfortable positions for extended lengths of time. To help your muscles relax a little try taking some magnesium supplements (great muscle relaxants), and maybe a bath with epsom salts (also magnesium).
If any particular pain hangs around for more than a couple of weeks, you might want to have it checked out, just in case.
I had a very similar problem with the muscles in my neck and shoulders after having my wisdom teeth (all 4) removed. They were all impacted, and they had to pull like hell to get them out! I was very sore for a bit over a week, but I'm fine now.
Again, congratulations, and I wish you all the best :)
