Whether you are a Christian or not Christmas is a wonderful celebration. The Birthday of the Baby Jesus. A love story.

I think I have a rather unique perspective on Christmas - I realize that it's a pagan holiday that early Christians (actually, not so early Christians) decided to adopt in order to convert the masses, and I realize that it's not the actual birthday of Christ (oh, please, shepherds watching their flocks in the fields in the middle of winter that just happens to be right around the winter solstice??? I don't think so). However, I do think that Christ's coming in to the world is something that should be acknowledged, and I do like presents (I'm trying very hard to get past my materialistic streak, but it's just not working for me right now), so I celebrate Christmas on the traditional day.

not practicing religion doesn't mean cannot celebrate occasion. we do celebrate religious occasion even we don't follow their belief. there's nothing wrong to celebrate with someones belief. it makes a good and harmonious relationship with other cultural and religious beliefs.

I'm a non believer but still give gifts to family and friends. They like it. I receive them also. I like it with no connection to religion.
