I bought a sephora make up primer (not for eyes or lips) and was wondering if there may be another one that might be better? The one I have is okay, but have never used another one to compare it with.....has anyone used the sephora one before and then another brand? Any differences?

I really like the Sephora primer. I have used several different brands and Sephora is one of my favorites

My two favs are English Ideas and Philosophy primers . I found the Sephora primer left some sort of sheen on my face which made makeup application worse! Whereas the philosophy and EI did not and with with English ideas my skin looked better and had a nice soft feel to it. The philosophy I use when I have my "oily" days and it seems to take away the oiliness and gives me a more Matte appereance.

English Ideas, which can be bought at Sephora. It goes on like a gel but kind of feels powdery. Or if you need something a little stonger try Mac silicone primer. It comes in a little tube and lasts forever.

I use Arbonne's "Intelligence" Personalizer. It's a plant and mineral based powdery product that goes on BEFORE your moisturizer or foundation. It battles to keep the shine down all day, and the greenish tint combats redness and helps even out skin tones.

I LOVE this product....I combine it with Arbonnes mineral powder foundation. My makeup looks fresh all day.

You can check out the products on Arbonne's website.

Both Laura Mercier and Modelco do excellent primers - they both give a flawless finish to the skin.
