Almost getting married to a filthy rich man that was more than willing ot adopt my -then- two kids from previous marriage, made US$250,000 per annum and loved me hell. Never regret it. I made the choice to stick to my believe and not let him take it away from me.

My biggest risk was leaving my full time job with benefits while I was living on my own to work as a temp w/no benefits. The full time job I was working at was horrible and I could not take it anymore. It worked out as my temp job turned into a perm and a new career path I still follow today.

Philosophically looking at it, your question does have a clever twist!!
If I had no regrets.... I can not perhaps consider it as a sacrifice at all...... it ought to have been a favourable trade off!!

sacrifice is a loss suffered for something else, and if you don't regret it,it no longer remains a sacrifice.
we all know what is best for us, so even if we let go something it is only because we know that something better awaits us after what we have foregone, and therefore there is nothing in life as sacrifice it is only our misinterpretation.
