I try not to make promises. My 2 teenage daughters will ask me for something, and I will tell them "yes". The next thing out of thier mouth is "do you promise?". No I don't promise, because on the chance something happens and I can't get them what they have asked for, then they won't be disappointed and we have a big drama over something I promised them and didn't come thru with.

Yes, I always do my best when it comes to keeping my promises. So far I haven't broken one but if it's something I feel that is life threatening such as suicidal thoughts then I may not keep that a secret.

I try not to make promises I can't keep, but sometimes **** happens that can't be controlled and promises get broken

sometimes. there are some promises that i've made but suddenly something comes up. how can keep that promise. for example promising my friend that i'll go somewhere with him/her. one thing for sure is that i keep all the promises that i've made towards myself.

yeah,i always do.
i don't promise much.
because maybe that have chances to be broken
and a bronken peomise is not peomise but a fault within yourself
so i hardly promise without know that i can keep it or not.
if its hard to keep,then i don't promise.
and when i believe i can,just then i promise and keep my promise

Yup and actually once i didn't cuz i asked the mini mart guy if i could have a pack of 30cent gum and told him i'd pay him back later but never have..its been like 3 weeks lol!
