All people do things because they are victims of society in some way or other. These girls are doing what thye do because they have children and no welfare support in Thailand. I am sure if they had a pension or some money from the government things would be different. No I dont think thye are the lowest for of human life. I think gang rapists and mass murderers are and lawyers and some mother in laws (mine) but not girls trying to earn a living with limited means.

I have respect for all life, I have compassion/empathy/sympathy so find it hard to label someone as the lowest form of life. I think generally that prostitutes are mainly sad, damaged young women who are using what they can to get by especially with drug addiction being so rife, I'm not saying it's right and I'm unsure how to change it but I think that prostitution has and always will be around, there is clearly a demand!. I mainly find it sad because it is such a waste of many lives. With regards to 'lowest form of human life', I would have to see that as paedophiles/murderers etc.

I've only ever met one prostitute, at a party. She was the neighbour of my friend whose party it was.
I didn't like the woman, as a person.
I fail to make the same judgement about every other girl / woman who is out there 'on the game' or earning (especially as I've never knowingly met one) something called 'a living.'
People enter all walks of life for their own series of reasons. As I've stated here before, I have known Doctors who might be brilliant as Doc's, but were lousy human beings (as a neighbour / husband and so on) ~ AND ~ anyone who takes their minds and bodies to their employers and does work for a wage is not any better or any worse that what are referred to as 'prostitutes.' A woman of the streets (unless she cons someone) 'works' and is paid. It's as simple as that, as I see it.
I'm not 'for' nor 'against' prostitutes, though I am not 'for' those who see themselves as being 'better' or holier than thou in respect of others.
So, the Lowest form of Human Life is what? (ask an American, and they will answer, 'a Lawyer.' )
As a Post Script to this - Anyone who Looks down on others HAS to be grateful to them for being there. Otherwise they wouldn't have a lofty place to be able to look down on anyone.
[ Oh Lord! What would they do then!!!!!! ]
Season Greetings.
Sash.

I try to respect all life no matter what. All human beings are basically the same when it comes to our needs. We all want to be loved and feel connected to society in one way or another. And we all need to eat, sleep, and contribute to maintain a place in the society. I don't judge people by the conditions of their environment, but by the goodness in their hearts and spirit.
Though I do find abuse of any kind repulsive and deserving of punishment or correctional modification. Like pedophiles for instance.
Where prostitution is legal it is between consenting adults who are both aware of what they are doing. I don't have a problem with that. But a rapist, batterer, murderer, robber, thief, con artist, and all those who use deception or force to gain what they desire are what I consider to be the lowly people.

It depends on the cause of their "trade".. I only have mild respect if they're doing it to feed their children and not their drug habits. Other than that its dangerous and unnecessary. There are other solutions and i don't think its fair that these women should feel they have no choice but to sell their bodies to strange men on the streets. They face the threat of violence, not being paid and general disrespect from their miserable, self-gratifying clients.
I don't blame all prossies entirely for their circumstances, but I do believe many of them are there because they made bad decisions. As for those who are ascribed into a culture or lifestyle that causes them to become prostitutes I think prevention is the key..
It is the clients who do not deserve any respect!

No because I always think that there is something better that they could be doing with their lives. Money is not everything and that should never be just cause to be a stripper, hooker, or an escort. They aren't the lowest form of human life, that position is held by pedophiles.

Surely I do not go for what they are doing but they are human too. Thus they should be treated as human equal in right to others. Try to understand the motives that forced them to take this path. May be they are victims to social or financial factors. Educating them to know the value of virtues is the best gift one can give them.

Respect? Sure.
They are just as human as the Pope, The American President and The latest Nobel-Prize winner - in some cases MORE human.
Have they made some bad decisions in their lives? Yup, in my book.
Were they forced into making these bad decisions, I don't know -maybe some were and others walked into the lifestyle with their eyes wide open.
Anyone who thinks that he or she is in a position to judge them based on a prejudice relating to the "P" label does not get my respect.

Doing what they do... meeting who knows what kind of person next.... anyone and everyone as a potential punter, and what those punters require.......
I suspect many prostitutes have got a certain full clarity and mindset on the reality of life - much more than the pampered tunnel-visioned god-squad type of people who've not experienced any serious bad times in their life.

respect is a hard one, but I definately do not think it should be illegal.
Prostitutes are providing a service which will be required forever, therefore if there is not stopping it then surely the government could provide safe houses, laws etc, and then prostitutes (I realise it would still be done illegally) would have to pay tax like everyone else with a job and be a hell of a lot safer.
