Good luck on that. It looks like we are steadily losing all rights. After all, we need to be protected from ourselves and the liberals are the only ones that know the right way to do that.

Both the "left" and the "right" are anti-civil rights. they've suspended habeas corpus, stuck the puppet-Bush onto his throne and wiped his oil-stained bum with our Constitution. Jefferson put it clearly enough in the Declaration, that when our government becomes a long-entrenched irritant, the People can invoke their right to alter or abolish that government and institute a new one as they so choose.
I fear We the People shall be in need of many people of Jeffersonian caliber in the coming days. Our rights, our very existence as a free people is hanging in the balance.

You can't be serious...the liberals are the party which protects those rights! I doubt it was the conservatives who marched w/ Martin Luther King, and it wasn't the conservatives who burned their bras and demanded more rights for women. What I do know is that the conservatives want to take away a woman's right to her own body. Not to mention Bush repealing Habeus Corpus which, is one of the scariest things he has done...that is a sacred right. Ha, I bet you are refering to liberals wanting to take away your guns. if you look closely it's the neocons that are eating away at our rights with the Patriot Act warrant-less wiretaps domestic spying
...not one of these was initiated or invoked by true liberals yes in fact the hated ACLU is fighting to retain those rights being stolen from us by the actions I pointed out at the start of this answer....but maybe that's too hard for you to understand....

From your moniker I would suggest you are going blind, or maybe it's brain dead. You have your parties mixed up. It's our republicans who are eroding our rights, not the bleeding heart liberals. If you bother to think about what you post doesn't liberal suggest we keep our rights while conservative tends to suggest control? Your myth is busted.

Technically, Liberals are pro civil rights.
And it would seem that Bush, a conservative, is taking away your rights, like that for privacy.
