the core is largely composed of iron (80%), along with nickel and one or more light elements, whereas other dense elements, such as lead and uranium, either are too rare to be significant or tend to bind to lighter elements and thus remain in the crust

It's a spacey area kind of like the atmosphere or space but red. You can actually fly around in the proper machine. And there are giant caverns with huge quartz crystals. Like a geode but the size of a medium city. The caverns are a nice resting spot to break for tea when your travelling to the core.
Haven't you seen "The Core" it's good science.
No seriously its a nickel iron alloy most likely. And the outer core is liquid but the inner core is solid. We know this from seismic studies which measure velocities and refraction of earthquake data from different sides of the globe. Now thats good science. Don't get your science from movies.

Seismic measurements show that the core is divided into two parts, a solid inner core with a radius of ~1220 km and a liquid outer core extending beyond it to a radius of ~3400 km. The solid inner core was discovered in 1936 by Inge Lehmann and is generally believed to be composed primarily of IRON and some NICKEL. Some have argued that the inner core may be in the form of a single iron crystal. The liquid outer core surrounds the inner core and is believed to be composed of IRON mixed with NICKEL and TRACE amounts of LIGHTER ELEMENTS. Recent evidence suggests that the innermost part of the core is composed of VERY HEAVY ELEMENTS, TRANS-CESIUM elements (above ATOMIC NUMBER 55), this would include GOLD, MERCURY and URANIUM.

It's mostly a huge molten iron core. Watch the movie "The Core". It's a lot of "Hollywood", but there's also a lot fact in it.

its been a long time since earth science class, but i think it is iron nickel and a bunch of other minerals heated to their liquid state.
