Buying American goods simply because they're American is NOT the answer. There are two answers because you are both a consumer and a producer (or will be, if you're a student).

As a consumer, simply buy what you need and want for whatever reason you personally want it. The whole entire point of the "economy" is to satisfy the needs of the consumer. If an economy is doing that well, there is no cause for complaint.

As a producer, be productive -- be able to create value for other human beings, work hard and competently, and develop valuable skills. Thinking of the previous bullet, this is how YOU best serve the needs of OTHER consumers. The entire mass of economic statistics boil down to the reality that a nation's prosperity is based 100% on the productivity of the individuals in the workforce.

OK, there's a third answer. As a citizen and voter, support free markets, free trade, and limited government intrusion. Embrace the truth that freedom is a good thing, and that an individual knows more about what is good for himself in his own life than some committee in Washington DC that possess no information about him does. It's hard to believe people dispute this,
but they do.

While browsing a shoe store I only found one shoe style made in the USA, New Balance has some. I bought them.
Buy ''Made in the USA'' or ''Grown in the USA''

Do your best to buy and hire from mom and pop (small business) establishments. Unlike Walmart, McDonalds, etc.

Invest in a 401k, Social Security won't be here long. Invest mostly in Domestic stock funds and Bond funds.

Vote to support those you agree to secure the future of our nation. Including education, jobs, domestic national defense, and family values.

Get involved with your community. Be a part of something that helps others.

How a lot decrease would your unemployment fee be if the EPA wasn't crusading antagonistic for your power production? If the EPA hadn't made fake claims? The state ought to play interior the federal regulations, power fee bypass up and that stops a small or mid length employer to employ that more beneficial guy. power businesses being forced to pay and use the better costs of the fairway push, fee us all extra. The federal governments stance on illegals and outsourcing make it a more cost-effective selection then to apply our personal labor pool. the easy fee's that the federal authorities now has on organization, make it less difficult for them to bypass elsewhere. a lot of jobs in Texas, got here immediately out of California basically by way of organization ecosystem. If Cal rolled decrease back their crap, there would once back be a larger fee of unemployment on your state. The feds are making it one state antagonistic to a unique as antagonistic to the U. S. antagonistic to the global economic equipment. there are quite some different federal controls/impacts over a states economic equipment also.
