I am partial to classical and electric guitar as well as the saxophone or as I like to call it the sexophone...LOL What do you like?

I love the oboe- it has such a dark, velvety tone. It's one of those intruments that either sounds beautiful, or awful, depending on the player. And yes, I too enjoy enjoy the sax...like Coltrane or whoever- that's a real emotional instrument.

Guitar, because I am a guitar player. I play other instruments too, but guitar is my primary instrument, so that probably explains it.

an electric guitar, but i have EXTREMELY high standards and cannot listen to most musicians without shooting myself in the foot to stop the pain

Oh heck they're all good. (Except synthesizers).Especially an old-school jazz trumpet, clarinet, or saxaphone, boogie-woogie piano, acoustic guitar, fiddle.
