MMM....IS THIS IT ..........

The Holy City:

Last night I lay a-sleeping, there came a dream so fair
I stood in old Jerusalem beside the temple there
I heard the children singing and ever as they sang
me thought the voice of angels from heaven in answer rang
me thought the voice of angels from heaven in answer rang
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, lift up your gates and sing
Hosannah, in the highest, hosannah to the king.

And then me thought my dream was changed the streets no longer rang
Hushed were the glad hosannahs the little children sang
the sun grew dark with mystery, the morn was cold and chill
as the shadow of a cross arose upon a lonely hill
as the shadow of a cross arose upon a lonely hill
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, lift up your gates and sing
Hosannah, in the highest, hosannah to the king.

And once again the scene was changed, new earth there seemed to be
I saw the Holy City beside the tideless sea
the light of God was on its streets
The gates were opened wide,
and all who would might enter, and no one was denied.
No need of moon or stars by night, nor sun to shine by day
it was a new Jerusalem that would not pass away.
It was a new Jerusalem that would not pass away
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, lift up your gates and sing
Hosannah, in the highest, hosannah to the king.

HOLY CITY/BAYETE

Jerusalem, Jerusalem
Lift up your voice and sing

Read verses 9 and 10 and you can see that it was being shown a long time ago not in a future sense. If you read John 14 it is a prelude to this and this could also be as another person said symbolic. Great theological question. I am focused more on today and doing the best I can for the glory of God and not getting too caught up in the theological debates. God has blessed me and helped me prosper and I pray that he does the same for you. Abundance and prosperity now is a great way to draw in nonbelievers not knowing how to debate the bible verse by verse. The verse by verse people I know alienate nonbelievers I want to draw them to me and help them have abundance now and salvation later. God bless you - great question.

To keep people from escaping. I mean, eternity with a bunch of Christians would totally HAVE to get boring after a while.
