My doctor told me that the hormones in birth control are out of your system as soon as you stop taking it. It is then up to your natural hormones to cycle your body. It may take time to be regular IF you were regular before you went on the pill. You could be able to concieve anywhere from right away up to a year. If it takes longer than that, you might want to look into fertility. I think the average time it takes to concieve for an average healthy couple is 3-6 months. Just try to relax and get to know your cycle and know when you ovulate.

See the Dr. Get his advise. However, they ussually advise trying for one year before getting medical intervention. I tried for 6 years before I got pregnant with and had 2 healthy children so don't give up. Trying is half the fun.

I was on the depo shot for three years and once i stopped taking it i became pregnant within a year (11 months)
Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating. It keeps track of your periods. It is a free and very helpful website.

from what my obgyn told me, it can take as little as a month for some oral contraceptives, but for the depo shot, it can take as much as a year. he wasnt sure about the effects of nuvaring, or the patches, so i guess it varies by the birth control.
