Yes, Americans are, generally speaking, much less pleasant than Canadians. Where do you live?

You can't let these people get to you, though. Chances are they don't have a degree, don't have a life worth living, and somehow they believe your race or country of origin has something to do with it. And it's not like they're native americans - it's just that their ancestors murdered the natives quite a bit of time ago. Ignore them if you can.

Absolutely, Canada sounds like a darn good place. Americans can be so mean. After all, foreigners coming in and sucking up the jobs and in general bringing down the wages of those that are still working should be treated like long lost cousins.

If I were you I'd just show us all and keep on heading north. After all we have such a shortage of biologists in this country that you not being here would really hurt. Some stupid lazy American would probably have to go back to work.

Right on, go ahead and move to Canada, it will serve us right!

Ignore the morons. Not all Americans are like that - just the idiots. Tell them you are a biologist, and then ask them what THEY do. Chances are your paycheck is at least double theirs. Be sure to do this with a great big smile on your face.

Bro...honestly this country is really really mean to Hispanics and a lot of my Venezuelan buddies that lived in Canada loved it there. There they actually are interested in your background...here Hispanics aren't really respected. It's tough but true...if you do stay here move somewhere where Hispanics have power like a big city.

im sorry for your experience.... unfortunately there are always some that want to talk stupid... and maybe even believe their own hype... but not all Americans are like that and if you ran into 3 in one week... i kind of wonder where you live... but try not to judge all of us on a few morons...
